Import your Spotify Data

This guide will walk you through the process step by step, so you can quickly start analyzing your music data.

Open Spotify Privacy Settings

Go to your Spotify privacy settings and scroll to the "Download your data" section.

  • Make sure "Account data" is NOT selected
  • Select "Extended streaming history"

Confirm Data Request

Confirm the data request in the email that Spotify sends you.

  • Check your inbox (also spam folder)
  • Click on the confirmation link in the email

Wait for Data Collection

Wait about 3 weeks for Spotify to compile your complete streaming history.

  • Spotify needs time to collect all your data from their archives
  • The wait time is worth it for a complete analysis

Download ZIP File

Download the ZIP file from the second email with the subject "Your extended streaming history is ready to download".

  • The email contains a download button
  • The ZIP file contains all your streaming data

Import Data into SoundScope™

Return to SoundScope™, import your ZIP file and start your personal music analysis!

Ready for Analysis?

Once you have your ZIP file, you can start analyzing immediately!
